If you need to head off-road on a camping trip or tow your boat to the lake, you cannot do much better than the 2009 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Available in Laredo, Limited, Overland, and SRT8 trim levels, the 2009 Grand Cherokee comes powered by either a 3.7-liter V6 that puts out 210 horsepower and 235 pound-feet of torque, a 4.7-liter V8 that generates 305 horsepower and 335 pound-feet of torque, a 5.7-liter Hemi V8 that puts out 357 horsepower and 389 pound-feet of torque, a 3.0-liter turbodiesel CRD V6 that generates 215 horsepower and 375 pound-feet of torque, or a 6.1-liter V8 that puts out 420 horsepower and 420 pound-feet of torque that allows you to go from 0 to 60 in just 5 seconds flat. When properly equipped, the Grand Cherokee has a maximum towing capacity of anywhere from 6,500 pounds up to 7,400 pounds. Cargo capacity is 35 cubic feet behind the rear seat, with that number increasing to 69 cubic feet with the rear seats folded.
